Pittsburgh Microneedling & Cosmetic Acupuncture

A holistic approach to skincare

Navigation

What is Microneedling and Cosmetic Acupuncture ?

Microneedling is just one aspect of cosmetic acupuncture. It is a minimally invasive procedure that involves using a pen containing extremely fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing processes, leading to the production of collagen and elastin, which can improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a modality that uses traditional acupuncture techniques to improve the appearance of the skin and reduce signs of aging. By inserting fine needles into specific points on the face and body, cosmetic acupuncture aims to enhance overall skin health, promote natural beauty, and address various skin concerns.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a fantastic way to address the underlying causes of skin issues. Unlike other cosmetic procedures that simply mask symptoms, cosmetic acupuncture actually works to improve the overall health of the skin by promoting natural healing processes. By stimulating specific points, it enhances blood circulation, encourages collagen production, and balances the body's energy, leading to long-lasting improvements in skin texture, tone, and radiance. This holistic approach not only targets visible signs of aging but also addresses internal imbalances that can affect skin health, resulting in a more youthful and vibrant complexion from the inside out.

Cosmetic Acupuncture vs Microneedling

Why Choose Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Choosing cosmetic acupuncture is a wise decision, especially in an era where anti-aging procedures and injectables are on the rise. These procedures are often performed by non-licensed individuals and introduce harmful chemicals into the body. Unlike injectables such as Botox, which carry the risk of mild to severe side effects that can potentially last a lifetime, cosmetic acupuncture offers a natural, safe, and holistic approach to skin rejuvenation.

This method not only enhances your appearance but also promotes overall skin health by stimulating collagen production, improving circulation, and balancing the body's energy. With cosmetic acupuncture, you can achieve a youthful and radiant complexion without the risks associated with invasive procedures and chemical injectables, ensuring peace of mind and long-lasting results.

Meet Our Acupuncturists

All three of our licensed acupuncturists are also certified in cosmetic acupuncture. This is an additional training that acupuncturists must complete if they want to perform facial acupuncture and/or microneedling. It is important to note that many med spas that offer microneedling have not received official training.

Our acupuncturists have all completed the Facial Acupuncture Certificate Continuing Education course taught by Michelle Gellis, acupuncture physician and founder of AcuLift Skincare.
