Pittsburgh Fertility Acupuncture
A holistic and safe approach to getting pregnant

What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is increasingly used as a complementary treatment for fertility. It involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, or "Qi," which, according to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), can influence reproductive health.

Please note that we do not take insurance. However, we do accept HSA/FSA payments. We also have the ability to create a Superbill for you that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Acupuncture To Treat Infertility
Infertility is a frustrating issue for many couples as they try to start a family. Acupuncture/Chinese Medicine is an amazingly effective modality that can help regulate the body and prepare it for pregnancy. Acupuncture accomplishes the following goals:

Regulates Hormones: Acupuncture can help regulate hormones, potentially improving the menstrual cycle and increasing the likelihood of ovulation. It may also aid in balancing the levels of hormones necessary for conception, such as estrogen and progesterone.
Improves Blood Flow: By enhancing blood flow to the reproductive organs, acupuncture can improve the health of the uterine lining, making it more receptive to an embryo. It also supports the ovarian function, which is crucial for producing healthy eggs.
Reduces Stress: Stress is known to negatively impact fertility by disrupting hormone levels and menstrual cycles. Acupuncture is believed to reduce stress by triggering the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers and mood enhancers.
Enhances IVF Success: Some studies suggest that acupuncture may improve the success rates of in vitro fertilization (IVF) by increasing the blood flow to the uterus and ovaries, reducing stress, and helping to normalize hormone levels.
Addresses Underlying Conditions: Acupuncture can be used to treat underlying conditions that may be affecting fertility, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, or irregular menstrual cycles.
Acupuncture is often used in conjunction with other fertility treatments, whether natural or medical, and many find it beneficial as part of a holistic approach to conception.
