About the event
This 6-week series offers participants a safe space to re-connect with their healingenergy through yoga. Being present with breath, movement, and stillness, in the safetyof the here-and-now, invites the opportunity to heal from past traumas. The path ofhealing involves regulating the nervous system—being aware of internal sensations,feelings, and thoughts and re-patterning responses so that they are consistent with thesafety of the present moment. Yoga, an evidence-based practice for treating the effectsof trauma, helps us do this.
What you can expect:-6 weekly, 60 minute, in-person yoga sessions at Nourish and Move, led by Dr. BethChristiano, a Clinical Psychologist, Registered Yoga Teacher (200 RYT), and YogaTherapist (IATY)-Access to a video recording of the instructor doing the practice, to use at homebetween in-person sessions-A small group setting, limited to 8 participants-Access to yoga mats, yoga blocks, and blankets (of course, you may also choose tobring your own)-A safe, non-judgmental space, in which you…
